Apple and Berry Crumble

Preparation Time: 45 minutes

Cooking Time: 40 minutes

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 300g Riviana Diced Apples
  • 200g Garden Supreme IQF Mixed Berries, thawed
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 150g unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • raspberry sauce
  • cream, freshly whipped

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Grease 6 individual ceramic moulds – 10cm in height and an opening of 10cm and place on a flat baking tray for transporting the crumble safely to and from the oven.

2. In a large bowl add the brown sugar, flour and cinnamon and mix together. Add the butter and with clean fingers break up the butter and combine with the dry ingredients until you have a crumble texture.

3. In another bowl mix the apple, berries and sugar together, then divide evenly into the greased moulds. Lastly add the dry mixture on top and bake for 40 minutes or until the fruit bubbles at the edges and the crumble has a slightly crusty texture and is lightly golden.

4. Dust with icing sugar and serve with raspberry sauce and whipped cream.
